Anne’s Garden

God made rainy days so gardeners could get the housework done.

Lilies make a debut!

Finally, the lillies have started to bloom!

I’m actually going to try and visit some other GTS bloggers today.  I’m usually too busy with the kids / garden or working to spend time on the internet but if I get a spare hour, I’ll be here seeing what’s new with everyone else!

What’s blooming in your garden this week?

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

I love lilies. I have a few in my yard but this week I posted pics of my shrimp plant that I put in the ground this spring.

Your lily is lovely. What kind is it?

I grow some lilies too and they’ve only just started blooming in the last few days so my yard is filled with vibrant orange, yellow and a few spots of red.

LOL my husband was working in the garden yesterday and he forgot how the lilies pollen sticks to your clothes and skin and well he leaned into a few of them and his white shirt was covered in yellow and orange pollen … the yellow was in the underarm area so it didn’t look good at all.

Beautiful lily.
What kind is it?

I wish I knew what kind it was. It was another already existing plant when we moved here.
